The Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation Horsham Branch, established in 2007, has raised funds across the Wimmera in support of the Constable George Howell Memorial Resuscitation Unit, part of the Wimmera Health Care Group, Wimmera Base Hospital Accident and Emergency Ward.

Recently the Horsham Branch raised $30,000 to purchase a new Neonatal Resuscitation Unit for the Wimmera Health Care Group plus completed our three-year goal of $100,000 for the Wimmera Cancer Center. In May 2022 will see the branch dedicate a treatment room of the Wimmera Cancer Center in honour of Constable Edward O’Neil. 

Annually the Branch conducts community Inside Story information sessions and officiates at the National Police Remembrance Day (29th September each year) with a street march and Church Service plus an annual fundraising month with local super market Woolworths every Saturday in September. 

Our highlight event annually is the Commissioner’s Dinner Gala which brings together over 170 sponsors and guests from the community. 2023 will see the branch celebrate 16 years of operations and is set to be a great night of celebrations.
